TEFAP
Emergency Food Assistance Program for Columbus County
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, including elderly people, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. It provides food and administrative funds to states to supplement the diets of these groups.
We began our Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in October 2015. Staff and volunteers were trained for the program. Our organization partners with the Town of Sandyfield in this endeavor and food is distributed to those in need who live in Columbus county. WHOResidents of Columbus County only*
